Sri Durga Temple

Sri Durga Temple, Australia's largest Hindu Durga Mata temple, officially opened its new building in Melbourne's west on Monday night.

Sri Durga Temple volunteer Vivek Sharma said the $4.5 million hall was the biggest Indian community building in Australia.

The temple's grounds were bought in 1997 and occupy 22 acres in the outer-western Melbourne suburb of Rockbank, near Melton.
