Narayan Bali Puja

The Narayan Bali Puja is offered to please Lord Narayan/Vishnu to make the ancestors spirit rest in peace. The Puja is basically done to fulfill the unsatisfied worldly desires of the ancestors souls which are still trapped even after the death of the one. Later the death of the deceased soul roam from here to there, suffering from hunger and thirst. So, the Puja is generally performed in all the cases of abnormal death of any of the family member and the ghost get satiated permanently. The 40th chapter of Garuda Purana is completely dedicated to the Narayan Bali Rites.
