Maha Mrityunjaya Anushthan - Anushthan for Longevity

This Anushthan belongs to Lord Shiva. Mantra consists of Three Words i.e. ‘Maha’, which means great, ‘Mrityun’ means death and ‘Jaya’ means victory. Hence when the three terms are combined, it becomes the one who conquers the death, or the conqueror of death one can attain salvation or moksha by chanting this mantra. 

Lord Shiva is the lord of lords, worshipped at Maha Mritunjaya Anushthan. The performer of this Anushthan gets rid of death and freedom from the cycle of rebirth. This Anushthan is performed to garner the benefits such as rejuvenation, longevity, extending life expectancy, the cure for chronic illness and bestows health, wealth, long life, peace, prosperity and contentment and also for protection against enemies.
