Devi Kushmanda is the fourth avatar of Goddess Durga, is worshipped on the 4th day of Navratri. She lives in the core of the sun (Surya). It is her splendor that diffuses creature and every plant of this universe.

She is the only one who has the power and strength to live in the core of sun. Her body shines like the brighten sun. She is also known as “Ashtabhuja” because she has 8 arms. She has Amrit kalash, Gada and Chakra, Jap Mala in the left hands and kamandal Dhanush, Bada and kamal in the right hands in that order. On worshipping her, sorrows and disease are eliminated and life span, strength, name and health improved.
